Lace Day
Each year PBLC holds a Lace Day at the beginning of June. It is an opportunity to make lace, enter the lace competition, support the raffle in aid of our charity, buy all those essential supplies and listen to the guest speaker. The venue is St George’s Church Hall, BH15 3EU.
At the Lace Day it is usual for PBLC to present a cheque to the year's charity. The lace competition theme each year is chosen to complement the guest speaker's talk. Visitors vote for the entries under two distinct categories:

Looking back 'Lace Day 2022' was a very enjoyable occasion with a good selection of suppliers and a very interesting talk by Sandi Woods entitled 'The Chinese Whisper School of Design'.
The competition title for 2022 was 'Ruby'. Eve Morton won in the category 'Best Technical Entry' for her fascinator and Margaret Eaglestone in the category 'Entry you would most like to take home' for her Ruby Anniversary Roses. See under 'Home' page for photos of the Ruby Competition pieces.
Brian Kennedy received the cheque on behalf of our charity 'DorSAR'.
